In addition to weekly offertory, our parishes participate in a number of special collections that support the wider mission of the Church. These opportunities allow us to extend our generosity beyond our parish walls, reaching those in need both locally and globally.
Catholic Ministry Appeal
The Catholic Ministry Appeal (CMA) supports the essential ministries and programs of our Diocese. Contributions fund seminarians preparing for the priesthood, campus ministry, Catholic schools, family life programs, and outreach to the poor. By participating in the CMA, parishioners join with Catholics across the Diocese to strengthen the mission of the Church.
Diocesan Ministries
Throughout the year, special diocesan collections are taken up to assist specific ministries—such as Catholic Charities, evangelization efforts, and support for retired priests. These gifts provide vital resources for those who dedicate their lives to service and ensure the ongoing vitality of our diocesan family.
Social Ministry
Our Social Ministry collections provide direct assistance to those most in need within our local communities. Proceeds support food pantries, emergency assistance for families, clothing drives, and outreach programs. This collection is a way to live out the Gospel call to care for our brothers and sisters in need.
Capital Campaign
From time to time, our parishes engage in capital campaigns to maintain and enhance our church buildings, schools, and parish facilities. Contributions to these campaigns are long-term investments in the future of our parish life, ensuring that sacred spaces remain welcoming and sustainable for generations to come.
Catholic Relief Efforts – Rice Bowl
Each Lent, Catholic Relief Services’ Rice Bowl program invites families to pray, fast, and give in solidarity with the poor. Donations collected support global relief and development programs, bringing food, shelter, and hope to communities around the world while also funding hunger-alleviation efforts locally.
